Latitude Technologies Provides A Major Lift To Norway's Airlift

[SatNews] ...is designed to continuously monitor and capture up to a full year’s flying history, with up to 32 GB of internal storage and triple redundant memory.

Latitude Technologies, global supplier of flight data monitoring, flight following, and Satcom solutions helicopter fleets, announces that Airlift AS, northern Europe’s largest onshore rotorcraft operator, will be adding recording and reporting devices to the Latitude SkyNode S200 flight-tracking, voice, and data transceivers installed in the Airlift fleet of Airbus AS350 aircraft.

The lightweight IONode™ recording and reporting system helps improve aircraft operating efficiencies, reduce maintenance costs, increase safety, and help improve the fleet’s bottom line. The IONode is adaptable to all FDR, QAR, and other recording and reporting requirements, with built-in MEMS AHRS, IINS/WAAS, GPS, inclinometers, IMY, digital compass, serial BUS, analog and digital IO.

The IONode is designed to continuously monitor and capture up to a full year’s flying history, with up to 32 GB of internal storage and triple redundant memory. The IONode recording and reporting system is capable of recording hundreds of parameters and providing daily automatic summary reporting with no transmission costs. Coupled with the SkyNode S100 or SkyNode S200 communications module, the IONode is capable of providing live streaming and live polling of flight data and real-time alerts based on exceedance parameters set and maintained by the fleet operator.

Together the IONode ION3A and SkyNode S200 will give Airlift a superior HFDM solution, including real-time event alerting and automatic post-mission wireless flight data transfer to the fleet’s stakeholders.  Latitude’s IONode FDM system will help Airlift to improve operational performance, enhance the company’s SMS program, and further strengthen fleet maintenance routines.
