SatLink Flies With a HotBird

Nick-poland SatLink Communications Ltd. announced that Viacom's MTV Networks International has chosen the company to broadcast its newly launched channel, Nickelodeon Polska, a Polish-language channel targeted at viewers aged 2- to 12-years. SatLink is transmitting the channel on its MCPC (Multi Channel Per Carrier) platform on Hotbird 8 at 13° East for Digital-To-Home (DTH) digital broadcast.

Nickelodeon Polska includes a mix of international content (SpongeBob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, Jimmy Neutron) from its parent channel, as well as local programming, such as a kids dance show, Dancing Nick and Drawing School.

"We are excited that MTV selected SatLink to transmit their new Nickelodeon offering to the growing Polish market.  They add to our expanding Eastern and Central Europe channel environment," commented David Hochner, CEO of SatLink Communications. "2008 is shaping up to be a great year for SatLink as we expand and establish our clients' presence around the globe throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and North America."

Hot Bird 8 is the largest and most powerful broadcast satellite serving Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. By the end of 2006, the HotBird constellation had broken the 1,000 TV channel barrier and reached over 121 million households.
