Blue Sky Network, supplier of satellite tracking and communication solutions for aviation, land and marine, today announced that its portable Bluetooth device, HawkEyeLink, now supports access and transmission of electronic forms. Blue Sky Network will be demonstrating its new electronic forms feature at Helitech International Helicopter Expo & Conference, taking place in London, UK, September 24-26, in booth #B59.

HawkEyeLink enables two-way messaging on smartphone and tablet devices via the Iridium satellite network and works in conjunction with Blue Sky Network’s D1000. The new feature is an industry-first, enabling users to access, edit and transmit dynamic electronic forms on an iPad while in the air through the Iridium network.

With the upgrade, the HawkEyeLink serves as an extension to electronic flight bag (EFB) capabilities and enables fleet operators to instantly send electronic forms from an iPad directly to Blue Sky Network’s cloud-based web portal, New SkyRouter. By allowing fleet operators to build and fully customize forms—such as flight plans, weight and balance, and flight manifest—HawkEyeLink supports the industry’s movement towards paperless fleet operations.

The new electronic forms feature is currently in beta release for iPad devices with production expected in October 2013.
