Hughes Network Systems On The Go Presents SATCOM-On-The-Move


[SatNews] Next week at Australia’s MilCIS 2011 Conference much information will be shared...

Tuesday, November 8, Hughes Network Systems, LLC (Hughes), Tony Sewell, International Programs, Hughes Defense and Intelligence Systems Division will present a paper entitled, “Implementing SATCOM-on-the-Move in the Land Environment,” at Australia’s Military Communications and Information Systems Conference (MilCIS) 2011.  The presentation is part of the joint track between MilCIS and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).  

Sewell's presentation will focus on technical enablers of SATCOM-on-the-Move for land operations and discuss the operational challenges to implement it as an integral part of the network-centric battlespace. Hughes will also showcase some of its technologies for the defense and intelligence communities at MILCIS 2011 Booth #2, including satellite solutions with enhanced security options, such as Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2, Security Level 2 certification, and those undergoing Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) certification
