Inmarsat... @ IBC2010 With...

[SatNews] Inmarsat will be displaying its portfolio of end-to-end satellite broadcasting solutions during IBC2010 in Amsterdam.

Designed to make remote live broadcasting accessible to any news team, however big or small, the company's new 176 kbps streaming system is based on its award-winning, highly compact, lightweight BGAN terminal. Inmarsat will be showing this new entry-level mobile satellite terminal service for video streaming at IBC2010 for the first time. The terminal offers 176kbps video streaming in a budget-conscious package for broadcasters who wish to deliver high quality video to their viewers, but at a lower price point. Additionally, the new product brings streaming capability within the reach of smaller broadcasters and freelance news crews. The terminal also supports guaranteed, on-demand IP streaming rates with a 176 kbps low-cost streaming option that is suitable for talking head shots, low movement and relatively static backgrounds.
