Klas Telecom's Voyager ECK Checks Out On The DISA DoD + The DoD's Approved Products List

[SatNews] Klas Telecom has announced that the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has added the VoyagerECK, a secure, portable, laptop-sized voice, video and data executive communications package, to the Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL).

The UC APL consists of hardware and software products that have completed Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) interoperability and information assurance testing and is therefore an approved set of equipment purchasable by DoD components. Once products are listed on the UC APL, it eliminates the need for using organizations to individually certify and accredit solutions.

Currently, Klas Telecom’s VoyagerECK is also approved for use on the new DISA DoD Enterprise Classified Travel Kit Gateway (DECTK-GW). The DECTK-GW provides users with a portable solution to pull DISA classified voice, video and data services over any Internet connection anywhere in the world. Initially available as a specialized service to select users, the DECTK-GW is now fully operational and available to users DoD-wide. The built-in VoSIP handset provides easy access to classified voice networks and is easily accessible through an external door. The router and switch are also removable and able to scale up to support larger operations. Another benefit of the kit is its low barrier to adoption. Government executives can connect to it whatever laptop computer or phone they are accustomed to using and aren’t constrained to interfaces of unfamiliar GOTS personal electronics devices.
