Inmarsat Shares Expertise At CommunicAsia + Game Changing Global Express


[SatNews] He’ll speak about the world’s first globally available satellite network.

Inmarsat will be exhibiting and speaking at CommunicAsia 2013. Specifically, Mr. Drew Brandy, Vice President, Enterprise Industry at Inmarsat will attend and speak at the event. Drew will share about Inmarsat’s new High Data Rate (HDR) streaming service together with the new Cobham SATCOM’s EXPLORER 710 that Inmarsat will be showcasing. Inmarsat’s HDR service, enabled by the Explorer 710 terminal, will offer media organizations and broadcasters significantly increased streaming rates for higher quality video newsgathering.

In addition, Drew will be able to speak more about Inmarsat’s game-changing Global Xpress, the world’s first globally available satellite network, as well as the plans and goals to introduce Global Xpress to the market as well as his views on Asia Pacific market and Inmarsat’s strategies to expand and grow its business in the region.

Mr. Brandy is Vice President of Inmarsat’s Industry division, part of the Enterprise business unit, where he has commercial responsibility for the direct and indirect distribution of Inmarsat’s voice, M2M and mobile broadband services in a range of market sectors and geographies. Prior to joining Inmarsat in 2005, he gained extensive experience working in the telecommunications sector in both North America and Europe, and has held a variety of positions ranging from corporate strategy to business and market development.

Drew holds an undergraduate degree in sociology and communications from York University in Canada and undertook his MBA at Henley Management College
