Segovia’s secure global IP satellite network can be rapidly deployed virtually anywhere in the world, meeting the requirements of warfighting or emergency response forces. The Company has just been awarded a two-year contract to provide managed network services to the USO.

Segovia will design, develop, and implement a dedicated network that will provide voice, video and data communications to USO centers in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain, helping the nonprofit connect deployed troops and families through reliable communications. Over the course of the contract, Segovia will provide a fully integrated, reliable, secure end-to-end IP network enabling troops to connect with their families. In addition, Segovia will support the USO with ubiquitous bandwidth on demand, access to cleared network operations and call center support 24/7/365. The USO currently operates 135 centers worldwide, each providing the USO’s special brand of morale-boosting programs and services to troops and their families. USO centers offer free e-mail and Internet access, entertainment and lounge areas, libraries and travel assistance. Special programs include USO Operation Phone Home®, Operation USO Care Package, Mobile USO, United Through Reading® Military Program, Pro vs. GI Joe and Operation Enduring Care.
