...that offers enhanced performance and efficiency of more than 50 percent. The performance and efficiency improvements apply to Manpack, Flyaway, Transportable, Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Maritime InterSKY® 4M Satcom-on-the-Move (SOTM) and Satcom-on-the-Pause (SOTP) MILSATCOM terminal family. In addition, this new capability includes Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) and MIL-STD-188-164 waveform support, as well as major improvements in SOTM, Quality of Service (QOS), acceleration and optimization performance, as well as network management enhancements.
The first antenna to embody the announced new flat panel antenna technology was the Elsat 2100, a rugged bi-directional MILSATCOM vehicular SOTM antenna. Offering a tri-fold performance improvement over the previous Elsat 2000, the new Elsat 2100 was designed to support on-the-move receive speeds of up to 150Mbps, and transmit speeds of up to 20 Mbps.
The InterSKY® 4M improvements include achieving satellite MHz resource savings of 30 percent to 50 percent, support of up to 9/10 32APSK Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) in the forward link, and 8/9 8PSK and 16PSK LDPC in the return link. In addition, the new system features support of the InterSKY® Single frequency multiple carriers (SFMC) multicarrier cancellation capability, based on patented cutting-edge noise reduction and carrier cancellation technology to deliver major satellite efficiency improvements. InterSKY® 4M allows strategic, deployed and tactical military units at all levels to maintain full connectivity at any given time. Elbit Systems’ cutting edge stationary, transportable and mobile military satellite communication systems operate in Ka-, Ku-, C- and X-band, offer WGS and MIL-STD-188-164 waveform support, and are fully compatible with commercial and military satellites.
