RRsat Global Communications Network Keeps Promise With Award Speaker (SatCon 2010)

[SatNews] RRsat Global Communications Network is officially launching its North American push at SatCon 2010, October 13-14, at the Jacob K. Javitz Convention Center, New York City.  Eric Larsen, RRsat America’s Senior Director of Sales, will be on hand to speak about their vast fiber and satellite capabilities. This years SSPI Promise Award winner, Shlomi Izkovitz, will also be in attendance and available to speak.

RRsat, has the unique ability to broadcast in fiber to nearly any location around the world without needing their own POP.  Most recently RRsat in collaboration with BT was able to transmit a live 3D event between London and the beaches of Tel Aviv, entirely via fiber.  It is their fiber capabilities that also allow them to be one of the few broadcasting networks to offer global one hop satellite broadcast.

RRsat is currently in negotiations for a major U.S deal, and will be able to speak about what the deal is and what it means for fiber in North America at SatCon 2010.
