VISLINK... @ CommunicAsia 2011 With... (SatBroadcasting™)

[SatNews] A number of products, including a new antenna, are set for demos at this show... At CommunicAsia 2011 (Stand 1V3-01), VISLINK is launching a new satellite antenna, the ADVENT FLA-120 Flyaway, specifically designed for rapid deployment, among other products. This new antenna is designed for users who want to transmit at low and medium data rates for live broadacst applications, IP data, as well as store and forward file transfers. This is the first antenna from VISLINK specifically aimed at this sector of the SatCom market and complements the company's already world-renowned range of satellite antennas.

Also new for a CommunicAsia debut is the Company's LINK XP1310 MPEG-4 Wireless Camera Transmitter, a compact, powerful, and flexible HD H.264 wireless camera transmitter from LINK that provides HD and SD transmission from the same unit. The compact design of the transmitter makes it perfect for use with lightweight ENG cameras and prosumer camcorders. The unit allows for in-field upgrades without requiring hardware modification and is capable of multiple digital modulation formats including the proprietary, optimized "LMS-T" modulation technology that ensures class-leading signal integrity. The XP1310 offers a cost effective, rapidly deployable wireless camera solution for both traditional and new media broadcasters.

Also set for showing is the NewsLite 6000, part of the VISLINK range of Mobile Gateway products that is packaged and configured specifically for SNG or Mobile Data Transfer quick deployment applications. The NewsLite 6000 can significantly enhance broadcast operations by providing robust persistent IP based routing over Wi-Fi or bonded 3G/4G data modem networks in addition to embedding IP transported data into an ASI stream for simplex or duplex transmissions over satellite. The NewsLite is an antenna agnostic video or data uplink in one sub 23kg transportable case. The NewsLite 6000 Ku band variant uses the case lid to house a 25W BUC which can be remotely located from the main body by up to 25 meters. The SSPA also has an integral PSU. The HPA control is housed in the main unit and the HPA and control data is phantomed along the TX L-band cable.
