Latitude Technologies Corporation announced today that they were selected by Iridium as a LBS Preferred Portal Provider of the new Iridium Extreme™ Handset.

The Iridium Extreme is made to operate in extreme environments. It is jet water, shock and dust resistant. In standby mode the battery life is up to 30 hours. In use the battery life is almost four hours. It offers the full array of voice, texting and tracking capabilities. It can be tethered to computers and also features an SOS button for emergencies.

“We hope none of our customers are placed in an extreme situation where they need the SOS feature, but having this feature is a great benefit beyond standard handset features.
