Broadcast Asia 2012 where Vislink is featuring a new brand, “LiveGear”, which includes a family of IP-centric products specially designed for new media professionals working in urban areas or remote locations to get first-on-scene video back to a studio or web streaming site.

Vislink’s marketing operations manager, Mark Anderson, said, “LiveGear delivers the power of a news truck in a backpack, which not only lightens the load for newsgathering teams, it provides a cost-effective alternative to the typically costly requirements of OB deployment.”

LiveGear technology is cellular-based and provides ground-breaking performance and efficiency for new media broadcasters who are on the move or on location. By utilizing Vislink’s leading H.264 adaptive bit-rate encoding technology, LiveGear products offer superior, robust and consistent video transmission by combining multiple 3G/4G LTE cellular channels.

Included in the LiveGear range are AirCam, a combination of a COFDM microwave and 3G/4G LTE camera-back transmitter; AirStream, a portable cellular ING transmission system; and the LGR-1000 LiveGear internet newsgathering receiver and playout device.

With the addition of LiveGear, Vislink is the first company to offer a comprehensive suite of licensed and unlicensed remote video solutions that include broadband cellular, WiFi, terrestrial, and satellite microwave technologies.
