SIA 2012 Hughes Exec Losada Heads To The Future And Speaks COTM

[SatNews] How can the commercial satellite industry help the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard and Marines meet critical satellite COTM requirements?

Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES) today announced that Dan Losada, Senior Director, Defense and Intelligence Systems Division, will speak at the Satellite Industry Association’s (SIA) 2012 Naval & Maritime Commercial Users Workshop. Mr. Losada will join satellite industry executives on a workshop panel entitled: “Terminal Technology Developments: COTM on the Horizon,” moderated by USCG - Lt Jonathan Petie, Commercial Satellite Communications Systems Asset Manager (CG-642), U.S. Coast Guard. The workshop transpires on Wednesday, January 25, from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California.

Mr. Losada, will discuss how the commercial satellite industry can help the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Marines meet their growing and critical satellite communications-on-the-move (COTM) requirements. He will discuss options for military and homeland defense needs in theater and at home, changes in terminal technologies, and future trends in COTM.
