Azercosmos OJCo signed agreement with Afghan Paiwastoon Media Communication (APMC) on broadcasting of Batur TV, free-to-air channel, over Azerspace-1 located at 45 degrees East.

Batur TV is the first TV channel to be aired over Azerspace-1. This agreement has a great importance for Azercosmos as it opens the doors of Afghan broadcasting market for Azercosmos. During the signing process, Masood Amery, President of APMC, highly appreciated passion and professionalism of Azercosmos team during the preparatory period of contract.

APMC  started cooperation with Azercosmos during this year’s Presidential elections in Afghanistan by purchasing Occasianal Use service. Baing pleased by the services of Azercosmos, APMC decided to sign longer period agreement.

Masood Ameri discussed with Azercosmos perspectives of boradcasting other Afghan TV channels over Azerspace-1 and broadening cooperation in telecoomunication sphere between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan.

Azercosmos OJSC is the satellite operator in Caucasus region. Azerspace-1, the telecommunication satellite operated by Azercosmos, provides broadband and broadcast solutions to its customers in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Central Asia and Caucasus. The satellite, to operate in orbit for at least 15 years, functions via 24 transponders in C-band and 12 in Ku-band at 46 degrees East.
