For contemporary cinematographers, the challenges of understanding data-based image capture, communicating color and "look" information to post-production, and smoothly moving and transforming the large volumes of image data from the raw camera capture through dailies to editorial and on to final delivery are the most important of today’s technical challenges. Its world known 3cP on-set color correction system has been upgraded recently. 3cP has entered the field of RED ONE production and post-production workflow, which makes the promise of .r3d camera raw file handling, on-set color correction, and on-set dailies generation a reality. Gamma & Density and da Vinci Systems have established a unique and unsurpassed way of exchanging color information via the ASC CDL and RED camera raw files. In addition, 3cP continues to offer a robust set of tools for color correction, 3D LUT generation, ASC CDL support, monitor calibration, and communication with post production. The recently released feature “State of Play” used 3cP for color and workflow management with the Panavision Genesis camera , and the television series “Tudors” uses 3cP for work with the Panavision Genesis and Sony F900/950 cameras.
