Arab Satellite Communications Organization ("Arabsat") will be sponsoring and participating in the 18th edition of the Arab Radio and Television Festival in Tunisia from May 25 to 28 in Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia — this event will be attended by several media figures and  broadcasters from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Eng./ Khalid bin Ahmed Balkheyour, the President and CEO of Arabsat, said that Arabsat has a unique and strong commercial relationship with ASBU, one that has involved many successful projects such as the global Arabic bouquet and the partnership agreement “MENOS” for exchanging multimedia content over satellites. Such mutual  cooperation has resulted in fruitful projects in the marketing and deployment of HDTV broadcasting technology in the Middle East.

Additionally, the company is also working and closely participating with ASBU on many committees and international organizations to combat deliberate satellite broadcasting jamming and piracy.
