[SatNews] Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., has won a $1.3 million order for satellite communications infrastructure equipment.

The equipment will support a satellite-based mobile backhaul network in Latin America. The order includes a comprehensive list of Comtech EF Data equipment, including modems plus indoor and outdoor RF products. Both the CDM-625 Advanced Satellite Modem and the CDM-600 Open Network Satellite Modems were ordered, featuring bandwidth efficiencies that increase satellite link throughput and reduce operating expenses.
