The new UAE-based satellite broadcasting venture YahLive has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jordan Media City, a Middle East region media hub based in Amman, Jordan. The agreement between YahLive's holding company Star Satellite Communications Company (a wholly owned subsidiary of Al Yah Satellite Communications Company) and Jordan Media City will establish a business co-operation between the two companies in order to define potential areas of collaboration on projects and services related to satellite broadcast. The areas of partnership include providing up-link services to satellites, play-out capabilities, and other services.



Star Satellite Communications Company, signed the MOU on behalf of itself and SES ASTRA, as future shareholders in the satellite broadcasting venture that will operate under the brand “YahLive” YahLive will offer satellite based broadcast solutions that will bring highly targeted, reliable and cost effective coverage. It will eliminate audience waste and feature flexible uplink and downlink options. YahLive satellite broadcast solutions will have strong signals and favourable look angle. YahLive will make unobstructed audio and video broadcast services possible, including direct to home and high definition TV. YahLive will also have a dedicated service team to respond to changing client requirements.
