[SatNews] During a ceremony officiated by Lt. Gen. Sam Greaves, Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) commander, September 8 at Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, California, Col. Mike Guetlein took command of SMC's Remote Sensing Systems Directorate from Col. James Planeaux.

Guests at the ceremony included family, friends and dignitaries such as William Maikisch, SMC's former executive director.
