Stratos Global Corporation today announced that its Iridium phone service
customers now can conveniently manage their prepaid services via the
online Stratos Dashboard application. Stratos provides advanced mobile and fixed-site remote communications solutions, and now with Stratos Dashboard for Iridium, customers can activate, deactivate and reactivate their Iridium postpaid, Short Burst Data services, and now also prepaid, online.
Customers can order and reload prepaid vouchers, as well
as view traffic data for all their prepaid SIM cards. This provides
Stratos Iridium customers with full control of their Iridium services and
eliminates the time-consuming process of completing and submitting forms.
In 2007, Stratos became the first company to offer its customers the
option to instantly provision their Iridium postpaid phone service online
via a direct interface with Iridium provisioning systems. Iridium OpenPort is expected to become available in Stratos Dashboard for Iridium later this year.
Access and usage of Stratos Dashboard for Iridium is free to Stratos
partners and end users. Stratos' Iridium customers can become familiar
with Stratos Dashboard via an e-learning module which now also includes
prepaid information. The module offers users a self-paced overview of the capabilities and set up of Stratos Dashboard for Iridium.
The Stratos Dashboards are the foundation of The Stratos Advantage, a
suite of value-added services utilized by thousands of Stratos customers.
The Stratos Advantage services are used to manage Iridium mobile satellite
offerings. The Stratos Advantage services also elevate BGAN from Stratos,
FleetBroadband from Stratos and SwiftBroadband from Stratos far above
baseline offerings. These applications provide users with cost control, firewall management, full traffic information, pre-paid facilities, high security options, easy VPN access, messaging services and full IP range.
