[SatNews] Khrunichev Center Head Andrei Kalinovsky has stated that the new Russian heavy booster, the Angara-A5, will push a satellite into orbit during 2016.
Kalinovsky added that the probability is that this will be a commercial satellite, although whether Russian or foreign, he could not say. Angara is Russia's new generation of boosters that are based on the URM-1 and URM-2 rocket modules, both using oxygen-kerosene engines. The Angara series range in their carrying capacity from 3.8 up to 35 ton payloads.
