...the Yamal-4023 satellite, which was launched via a Proton-Breeze M vehicle on December 8th. You may recall there was an anomaly occurrence and deployment of the satellite was in question. That query has now been answered...
Satellite acquisition was carried out and the solar panels partially deployed. The satellite was confirmed to be nominal.
Thales Alenia Space and Gazprom Space Systems will proceed to all the necessary maneuvers in order to optimize and reconfigure the flight plan from the lower and more inclined than expected transfer orbit let by the launcher, into its correct geostationary orbit. These maneuvers will be carried out securely and with optimized minimum use of propellant.
The Yamal-402 satellite is based on a Spacebus 4000 platform. It is fitted with 46 Ku-band transponders.
