A Contract With a $450 Potential Presented To Harris Corporation By DISA

[SatNews] Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) has been awarded a contract by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) with a potential value of $450 million to provide systems engineering and program management services for the agency’s Crisis Management System (CMS)—the single-award IDIQ contract has a one-year base and nine one-year options.

The CMS provides government leaders with video and voice communications, powered by a secure, high-performance network. This enables senior U.S. government officials to exchange high-interest, time-sensitive information for critical decision making during emergency situations.

Harris has supported the CMS since 2004 and will continue to provide 24/7 on-call, on-site corrective maintenance for all related hardware and software components. Engineering support will include design, development, integration, test, installation, training, and documentation for all enhancements to the CMS.

"This program is a critical part of our national security infrastructure,” said Wayne Lucernoni, president, Harris IT Services. “Technology plays a vital role in helping leaders make sound decisions and we are committed to giving them the best technology possible, whenever they need it.”
