Taifatech Inc., a provider of system-on-a chip (SoC) solutions for the digital home, has announced the launch of a low cost full HD solution for connecting PC and other video devices to HD televisions through standard networks. High video quality, low latency and cost-effective, the versatile solution delivers full HD resolution (1980x1080) video and audio through standard networks such as Ethernet, WiFi or PowerLine, thus enabling consumers full access to their PCs through their high definition televisions. Consumers can watch all Internet videos and rented movies on their HDTVs. Compared to other Wireless Display (WiDi) products, Taifatech's solution provides improved video performance and two way communication between the PC and the TV. The solution works with CPUs and GPUs from different vendors thus provides more flexibility for OEM, PC, and Notebook makers.
