Artistic rendition of the Arabsat-5C satellite

....from Arabsat-2B satellite to its new Arabsat-5C satellite at 20 degrees East , which was launched successfully in September. The new satellite carries telecommunications networks for the Arab States and the African continent and private networks operating at Ka-band in addition to DTH bouquets transmitted in C-band to the African continent. The New Arabsat-5C satellite is considered the 3rd in Arabsat 5th generation satellites series, which were launched during the last two years to support the leading position of Arabsat in satellite telecommunications market, this satellite is considered a great and a unique addition to Arabsat satellites fleet. Arabsat 4th & 5th generations satellites, which started launching in 2006 and completed by the launch of the latest satellite of the 5th generation satellites last September with purpose to form a distinguished and integrated fleet of satellites operating at Arabsat orbital positions 20, 26, 30.5 degrees East providing all types of services and at different bands and areas of coverage where all companies, organizations and countries could benefit from its services within a large coverage area that includes all Arab countries, neighboring countries in Asia, whole Africa and large parts of Europe.

It should be noted that Arabsat investments in manufacturing and operating its new fleet of satellites which exceeded U.S. $ 1.6 billion was financed mainly from its own revenue. In spite of the intense competition from international satellites organizations, Arabsat has notably succeeded in marketing its satellite services and became one of the world organization marked with efficiency, quality and excellence in providing the various types of networks, operating within its coverage area ,and the local and international television identity with the needed capacities to develop and diversify its services in a high quality which ranked Arabsat to be the first in the region because of the variety of these services and ensuring backup capacities that guarantees services continuation in emergency situations. Arabsat currently is going forward in planning for the manufacturing and launching of its 6th generation satellites during the coming years to ensure having the leadership in the market of satellite communications and satellite broadcasting in the region and diversification in the methods of services delivery and taking care and fulfilling customers future demands.
