Satcab + Concurrent's Upshift™...   Zap Their Services to Africa's ZAP

[SatNews] ...a leading multi-channel video service provider in Africa, has launched unified content delivery solution to power the region’s first Cloud DVR service.

Satcab, a Portuguese based company focused on the design and the delivery of professional, digital media projects, today announced that ZAP, a leading multi-channel video service provider in Africa, has launched Concurrent’s UpShift unified content delivery solution to power the region’s first Cloud DVR service.

ZAP enlisted Satcab and its partner Concurrent, (CCUR), a global leader in unified content delivery and video analytics solutions, to provide the end-to-end video solution, integrate it into ZAP’s network, and deploy the service to its subscribers.

Concurrent’s UpShift solution enables ZAP’s customers to record live broadcast television programming, store it in the network, access it instantly, and watch it on their own schedule. ZAP’s installation represents the first deployment of Concurrent’s UpShift solution in the southern part of the African continent.

“Together, Concurrent and Satcab are delivering the most innovative video solutions and the most experienced integration services available in the marketplace today,” said Martin Jahn, CEO of Satcab. “Working with ZAP in Africa, we are demonstrating the power of our joint solution offering, supporting a world-class service in a new region, and introducing Cloud DVR to an entirely new audience. We are pleased to be working with ZAP and Concurrent on this pioneering effort.”
