On The IAC 2016 Show Floor... Important Matters For Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre


Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), a Dubai Government entity which aims to promote scientific innovation and technology advancement in Dubai and the UAE, is participating in the 67th International Astronautical Congress 2016  which runs from September 26th through the 30th, 2016, in Guadalajara, Mexico.
 
The company will be highlighting their space sector development in the UAE and Dubai, UAE space strategy, projects launched, space infrastructure, and developing human capital during IAC.
 
Some of the goals and objectives that can be discussed will be of the first Arab mission to Mars, Emirates Mars Mission—Hope—creating mankind’s first integrated model of the Red Planet’s atmosphere; and the various satellite projects launched by the Centre including KhalifaSat, the UAE’s first satellite to be built and developed by Emirati engineers in the satellite manufacturing facilities at MBRSC, Dubai. KhalifaSat will be launched in 2018.
 
Additionally, MBRSC spokespersons will be on hand to speak about the operational Earth Observation (EO) satellites under the umbrella of the Centre, business development, MBRSC’s international presence and cooperation, Educational and Outreach programs/initiatives.
 
Two of the MBRSC executives who will be present at this event will be Eng. Salem Al Marri, Assistant Director General for Scientific and Technical Affairs and Eng. Adnan Al Rais, Manager, Business Development and External Relations, Deputy Project Manager of UAE Mars Mission.
