X-BUC 50W SSPA for mobile communications — The Xicom Technology, Model XTS-50X1-B1 X-BUC, is the perfect solution for commercial and military users ready to take advantage of new X-band capacity on Xtar and Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites. Higher power in a compact package enables system integrators to offer much higher data-rate uplinks with rugged, compact, transportable, SATCOM terminals. The X-BUC provides 50 Watts of 1 dB compressed output power in a self-cooled, feed-mountable, package specifically designed to operate in harsh environments and meet the stringent RF requirements of today’s X-band systems.
Touch Screen Rack Amplifiers for broadcast applications — The new LCD touch screen provides an easy-to-use interface for monitoring and controlling SATCOM power amplifiers in an industry-standard 19-inch wide rack-mount configuration. The new touch screen front panel displays the HPA’s operational status including power output and temperature, graphical displays of parameter trend analysis, and event logs. Local and remote diagnostics can also be easily performed via an Ethernet interface. This new display eliminates the need for separate external controllers for common architectures because it can show and control waveguide switches and a combiner, providing both cost and space savings.
Ka-band BUCS — Xicom is introducing a new compact and lightweight family of Ka-band block up converters (BUCs) designed for military and commercial high data-rate satellite communications uplinks. The Xicom Technology BUCs feature higher linear power in a compact package enabling system integrators to offer much higher data-rate uplinks with rugged, compact, transportable, SATCOM terminals. The BUCs are available at three WGS linear powers: 25W linear, 50W linear and 75W linear and are designated XTLIN-25Ka-B1/50Ka-B1/75Ka-B1. These BUCs are compact in dimension, light weight and highly efficient making them ideal upgrades for existing systems that need 3 to 6 dB more linear power.
