DEV Systemtechnik... Investigating Inopportune Interferences (SATCOM)

[SatNews] Interferences causing malfunctions, such as screen blackouts during TV transmissions, may now be analyzed quickly, simply and comfortably using a new Recording function developed by DEV Systemtechnik.

Part of the web interface of DEV signal transmission equipment, Recording is able to capture signal properties already in the input path of the system and to record them in user-defined time intervals. At a glance, the system administrator sees how the signal properties changed in history and whether these changes are responsible for interference, making intricate cause research using time-consuming off-line analyses no longer a necessity. DEV Systemtechnik’s Recording allows the system administrator to access e.g. the RF signal level of any L-band signal and/or the LNB feeder current directly via the web interface of DEV equipment. The user gets a topical feedback on signal changes over time and sees the dependence of signal properties on environmental influences such as precipitation, temperature or others. Recorded data are visualized in a user-friendly graphical user interface which allows to interactively zoom-in on data sequences. All of the recorded data can be exported. DEV is initially going to offer Recording for the products of the Optribution family to optically transmit and distribute RF signals.
