ULA's Push Pause For EchoStar XIX Launch

During a test of the flight control system, a component of the first stage booster for the United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket set to carry the EchoStar XIX satellite to orbit exhibited off-nominal behavior.

This untoward activity has resulted in a delay for the launch, allowing the launch teams to make certain all of the rocket's systems are functioning nominally and to replace the recalcitrant component. The new launch will now occur on December 18th,with a launch window of 1:27 to 3:27 p.m., EST.
