Opticomm-EMCORE All Prepped + Ready To Demo @ CCW-SATCON 2014

[SatNews] Opticomm-EMCORE will feature its new Genesis XD (“GXD”) Multimedia Matrix Switching Platform at CCW-SATCON 2014, November 12-13, on booth #741 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.

In addition, Opticomm-EMCORE will show the new GBOX Series throw-down box transmitters and receivers for uncompressed video, audio and data transmission over Fiber, CATx and IP, which are compatible with Genesis for multipoint applications.

Genesis XD is designed for small-to-large Enterprise connectivity applications. It is a modular, non-blocking, full cross-point matrix switch that is scalable from 8x8 to 256x256 for seamless connectivity to one or many displays. It provides uninterrupted, trouble-free operation in critical applications. Genesis XD accepts and converts both analog and digital signals, including HDMI 1.4b with HDCP, Display Port, DVI, VGA, Component and 3G HD-SDI. These signals can be transmitted to remote locations via singlemode or multimode Fiber, CATx/HDBaseT or IP/Ethernet. GXD’s massive 40 Gbps backplane accommodates uncompressed 4K UHD resolutions now and 8K resolutions in the near future, allowing it to serve as a staple for Installers that want a flexible and reliable connectivity platform.

Opticomm-EMCORE will also be featuring its latest capabilities for HD multimedia distribution over fiber on the openGear® platform including the OPG-1DVI2A1UKM for 4K UHD DVI / HDMI Video over Fiber and OPG-2HDP for 3G HD / HD-SDI / SDI Video over Fiber. The OPG-1DVI2A1UKM transmits the full range of SMPTE compliant digital and analog video signals with audio, over long or short distances, using singlemode or multimode fiber. The openGear® OPG-2HDP transports SMPTE compliant video signals over long or short distances with a single optical wavelength.

EMCORE’s openGear® OPG-1L RF Fiber Optic Links for transport of IF- and L-Band video signals will also be on display at CCW. The OPG-1L series transmitters and receivers provide transparent signal transport between broadcast or cable network antenna facilities and control room terminal equipment. The OPG-1L can be integrated with Opticomm-EMCORE’s family of openGear® high-definition SDI video cards to support transport of multiple signal formats and frequency bands.

For the Optiva platform, Opticomm-EMCORE will demonstrate the latest system capabilities featuring the OTP-1DVI2A1UKM for 4K UHD DVI / HDMI Video over Fiber. The Optiva OTP-1DVI2A1UKM provides for the transmission of uncompressed DVI, VGA or Component (RGB / RGBHV / YPbPr) video, stereo analog audio, with USB KVM over long or short distances, using Dual-Link DVI-D and 10Gbps Optics, up to 3840x2160 @ 30 Hz and 2560x1600 @ 60 Hz.

Additional products to be featured at CCW 2014 include the new AFC-HDMI2 High-Speed HDMI Active Fiber Cable, which will be demonstrated live, and the new c-linx MX-4 and MX-8 matrix switchers that extend and switch uncompressed HD over CATx/HDBaseT or HDMI. The AFC-HDMI2 Active Fiber Cable extends true Plug and Play uncompressed HDMI connectivity up to 100 meters over fiber with no additional power sources needed. It supports up to 4K UHD resolution digital video, plus audio to large displays and projectors from a wide variety of source components. The new c-linx MX-4 and MX-8 matrix switchers will switch any HDMI input to any output using local front panel push buttons, or via remote control, and they are completely non-blocking, allowing any source to be connected to any display up to 60 meters.
