IAI... @ IACE With...


[SatNews] Israel Aerospace Industries’ (IAI) unique systems, such as "Arrow 2", "Arrow 3", satellites, strategic unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and others, are key factors in Israel's defense, industrial and economic strength" said Mr. Itzhak Nissan, IAI's CEO and President, prior to the International Aerospace Conference & Exhibition that opened on November 15th at the Jerusalem International Convention Center.

In sessions on active protection, IAI's executives lectured on new anti-ballistic concepts implemented in the "Arrow 3" system, and elaborated on the challenges they face in developing air defense weapon systems. In the space session, IAI presented the nexgen of electro-optical satellites — Optsat3000, and an advanced aerial satellite launching technology. Additional lectures given by IAI representatives addressed UAV Airworthiness & Airspace Integration and IAI made conformal airborne early warning platforms in the maritime arena.

In the civil aviation session, new commercial aircraft development trends were presented, along with the innovative, environmentally friendly, pilot-controlled towing semi-robotic system – the Taxibot. During the conference, IAI displayed some of its products, including “Arrow 2” and “Arrow 3”, a TecSAR satellite model, the Barak Air and Missile Defense System and the mini Panther- tactical UAV for ground forces.
