[SatNews] Cobham SATCOM Maritime Products and GVF have released new training modules covering installation, maintenance, and operation of Sea Tel Integrated Marine Antenna (IMA) stabilized VSAT terminals, including Series 12 and GX.

The new GVF562E-IMA course includes operational training for the Media Xchange Point (MXP) unit, and is ideal for seafarers such as radio operators, IT technicians, and other crew members who are responsible for operating a Sea Tel IMA series VSAT terminal at sea. New supplemental module GVF503E-S1 is intended for field engineers and technicians who are responsible for installation and maintenance of IMA terminals and who have completed the full Series 09 training course, GVF503E. Both modules were developed by, and are administered by, SatProf, Inc. on the GVF learning infrastructure. They are available in an on-line, interactive, simulator-based environment either directly through the GVF Training Portal, or via customized training portals as part of GVF Enhanced Training Services.
