FTA Programming from BBC Arabic TV's Contract is Extended with Arabsat


BBC Arabic television — the BBC's news and information channel in the Arabic language, and Arabsat have signed to a long term renewal of their agreement on Arabsat BADR-4  at 26°E, which covers the entire MENA region and most of Western Europe.  

The service will now continue to be offered on Arabsat BADR-4, accompanying other leading international and regional news channels that can be received throughout the Middle East, North Africa and Europe via the minimum receive dish size.

BBC Arabic stated that this new contract will extend the partnership to 15 years for delivery of the company's free to air (FTA) radio and TV services. Sam Farah, Head of BBC Arabic, said that this agreement is good news for the continuation of this partnership for audiences in these locations. BBC Arabic TV will be bringing viewers new programs as well as existing favorite flagship shows."
