SBCA...It's Virtually A Virtual Tradeshow!


[SatNews] SBCA SkyFORUM 2010, a virtual tradeshow taking place on November 17th, will provide informational sessions, exhibitor demonstrations and opportunities to network with satellite industry professionals. SBCA offers attendees free admission to the event and dynamic presentations providing insight to Consumer Electronics, Broadband and Satellite Technologies.

This year’s agenda includes key note presentation, Satellite Technologies Moving Forward; a Business Report given by Ed Caleca, and will take a candid look at the satellite industry landscape including services, demand, opportunities, challenges and risks. Caleca explains, “The satellite industry, along with other technologies, is making significant changes to meet consumer needs. It will be interesting to see how industry manufactures, providers and programmers will adapt to these changes.”

This online event will begin at 11am ET with an opening session featuring a conversation with a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Senior Attorney about the Over-the-Air Reception Devices (OTARD) Rule. Feature presentations from satellite platform providers DIRECTV and DISH Network will provide information on newly released technologies and offerings. SBCA SkyFORUM 2010’s closing presentation will be given by the Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA) Senior Research Analyst, Ben Arnold, and will focus on consumer perspectives on 3D and connected television.
