Globalstar Europe Satellite Services Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Globalstar, Inc. (NASDAQ: GSAT) has signed an authorized distribution agreement with Equipos Navales Industriales, s.a., of Madrid, Spain. Equipos Navales will act as a National Distributor for Globalstar´s suite of duplex products to the commercial fishing market within the Spanish Mainland Territory. "Equipos Navales have a proven track record in the Spanish maritime fisheries market and are the ideal Globalstar sales partner to sell the Ministry of Fisheries approved GSP-1700 Marine Kit" said Jim Mandala, General Manager, Canada and Europe Sales, Globalstar. "As we continue to launch and deploy our new second-generation constellation of satellites, we expect to further broaden our distribution of high quality mobile satellite voice and data services." In October of 2010, Globalstar launched six new 2G satellites. These new satellites are now operational providing mobile satellite services to customers throughout Europe. Globalstar expects to conduct three additional launches of six satellites each with the next launch planned for July of this year.
