General Atomics... Moving On Into London Town (UAS/UAV)

[SatNews] Having an affiliate where one sells product is certainly a highly advisable move...

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. (GA-ASI) in San Diego, which produces the Predator B line of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), has opened a London-based affiliate, dubbed General Atomics Aeronautical Systems UK Ltd. "We are pleased that the London office will provide dedicated support for the Ministry of Defence's [MoD's] Remotely Piloted Air Systems [RPAS] requirements," says Neal Blue, chairman and chief executive officer of GA-ASI. GA-ASI has delivered a total of six UAVs to England's Ministry of Defense since the first English Predator B/ MQ-9 Reaper UAV was deployed to Afghanistan in October 2007, with the fleet expected to nearly double in size over the next few years. The aircraft have logged more than 17,000 flight hours to date in support of English forces on the ground. Dr. Jonny King will run the London facility.
