Satellite Financing Summit—Head To The Westin In Paris (Event—Business)

[SatNews] Is this the dawn of an exciting new era for satellite financing?

"After years that saw a clear domination by Export Credit Agency backed financing, which remains important for emerging regional players, financial transactions have picked up strongly in the satellite industry over the last 12 months. With the financial sector seemingly ready to take more risk again, we have seen M&A transactions across the value chain, notably with MDA / Space Systems/Loral, Arabsat / Hellas Sat, and Eutelsat / Satmex, as well as the IPO of Intelsat. And it seems that there is more to come, said Nathan de Ruiter, Senior Consultant, Euroconsult

Financing for satellite projects and the related challenges will be discussed from different points of view during the Summit for Satellite Financing in three dedicated plenary sessions welcoming executive-level speakers from leading financial institutions, ECAs and satellite operators:

  • Financing satellite projects: A lender's perspective
  • Investment bankers: Views on the satellite market
  • CFOs' priorities in a challenging market environment

The Summit for Satellite Financing welcomes senior-level financiers from 30 different investment banks, private equity funds and ECAs—approximately 300 executives, including almost all C-level executives from 40 different satellite operators and 30 different service providers, along with many executives from all levels of the value chain, will also be in attendance. This concentration of senior executives from around the world in an intimate, elegant environment lends a club-like atmosphere to the event in which business meetings and deal making comprise an essential part of the symposium. This summit is considered to be a must-attend event for the leaders of the satellite industry.

A limited number of rooms are available at the The Westin hotel in Paris at a negotiated rate for registered participants. However, these rooms are almost sold out and you should consider registering promptly to avoid disappointment.
