WASP 3D homepage WASP3D became the most used, real-time, 3D graphics solution by Indian News channels for broadcasting recently held Lok Sabha elections.

WASP3D system was used by leading national and regional television stations for live analysis and presentation of 15th Lok Sabha Elections. Some of the channels that used WASP3D were Star News, Sun News, Malayala Manorama TV, TV9, Zee Business, ATV, HMTV, I News, India Vision, Kasturi, Mega TV, News Live, OTV, Raj TV, and Total TV. The channels used WASP3D for creating graphics templates including lower thirds, tickers, pie carts for depicting vote share, bars and graphs for vote tally and comparisons.

The key highlight of the elections was use of interactive touch screen based presentation tool, WASPi Mimosa by Star News emerged as one of the highest viewed Hindi news channel and the news anchor used Mimosa for showing the vote tally, alliance formation analysis, exit poll results by simply dragging-dropping objects, drawings eclipses on screen (telestration) etc., at the touch of his fingers. WASP3D election suite offer tools to display live analytical graphics using pie charts, bars, tickers and lower-thirds. Templates can be connected to databases or integrate with wire-feeds, data-gateways, web sources, RSS feeds, and other data providers to analyze the results while on-air. Using WASP3D 2009, television stations can make the entire election coverage much more interactive and interesting. It allows the anchor to present the analysis such as vote tally, swing, poll results, leading constituencies, vote share etc. on a touch screen panel or video wall.
