Proactive Communications Is Just That, With Network Configurator

Proactive Proactive Communications, Inc. (PCI), launched PCI Network ConfiguratorTM, the industry’s first estimating tool to help companies understand basic system requirements for satellite communications networks. This tool, engineered by PCI, an all-conditions worldwide SATCOM provider, is an interactive online form that converts basic input variables and generates customized VSAT requirements based on geography, number of users, functionality and bandwidth. End users are able to choose the scope of services from voice, data and video along with additional services such as security levels, content filtering, QoS, packet inspection and antivirus

Proactive configuator By entering personalized, case-by-case information into the PCI Network Configurator, the system generates a customized PDF that outlines components for a network to meet customer usage requirements. The tool, which analyzes information and formulas based on nine different variables, serves as a starting point to help customers visualize their own requirements in the process of requesting a formal scope of work (SOW).

“In developing this tool for customers, we considered all major variables that will help customers to assess their specific needs so that we can help them build out the most efficient and affordable system to cater to whatever their needs may be.” Said George Ragsdale, director of engineering at PCI.

Marc LeGare, CEO of PCI said,“PCI has engineered this configurator, which is long overdue in our industry, as a way for our potential customers to easily and conveniently measure more precisely what their satellite needs are before they call.”
