AVCOM of Virginia, Inc. Is Racking Up A New Analyzer

[SatNews] AVCOM Of Virginia has introduced the RSA-6500A Rack Mount Wideband Remote Spectrum Analyzer.

The RSA-6500A offers a wide range of frequency coverage including HF, VHF, UHF, L, S, and C bands. C-, S-band uplink/downlink and IF frequencies can be monitored with a single unit with additional inputs for other applications.

Also in the spotlight is AVCOM’s Beacon Receiver and MSNG-2500C.

Today's SNG/ENG environment calls for faster, lighter, and less expensive vehicles to perform satellite operations. This puts additional pressure on the engineer to be able to use all the gear needed to effectively do the job. The MSN-2500C performs all the same tasks as the SNG-2500C at half the size of the former.

MSNG-2500C

AVCOM’s small, lightweight, low-power, rugged Beacon Receiver is a beacon receiver and spectrum analyzer in one. Features include monitoring and control via Ethernet and USB, rack mount options for fixed antenna and teleport applications, and extended temperature range.

Spectrum Analyzers

AVCOM Spectrum analyzers have full remote control capability using a user-friendly graphical user interface. From the SNG-2500C (a drop-in replacement for the discontinued Tektronix 1705), to the portable PSA-2500 and ultra compact CLM-2500, one can acquire the satellite, peak the antenna and monitor the carrier locally. Used as a Remote Carrier Monitor, the engineer can assist a new operator and just check the uplink performance.
