In response to the significant sports broadcast interest in London next year, GlobeCast and Intelsat have partnered to offer rights holders and non-rights holders stand up positions and global delivery services from Stratford and central London. This will enable broadcasters to complement their coverage of the Olympic Games. From July 20 to Aug. 13, GlobeCast and Intelsat will provide a live position from Stratford with a unobstructed view of the stadium, and another live position in central London, with the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben as backdrops. In addition to these fully manned positions, GlobeCast and Intelsat customers will also benefit from playout services and worldwide fiber and satellite delivery. A projected television audience in the billions will be watching.
