[SatNews] Making its IBC debut is Haivision's Furnace 5.6, a complete solution for end-to-end HD H.264 video-over-IP distribution. The upgrade includes a completely redesigned and easy-to-use interface as well as a newly integrated Conditional Access (CA) Module. The integrated solution continues to support the compact Makito™ HD H.264 encoder to manage and distribute live video to computers and STBs, to create scheduled playback channels for enterprise TV and signage, and to record content and deliver video-on-demand in a secure, easy-to-use system. Plus, one of Haivision's more recent additions to the Makito™ family is an H.264 decoder that offers the lowest latency decoding available with less than 70 milliseconds of latency at video resolutions of up to 1080p60. When paired with the popular Makito HD H.264 encoder, this system provides efficient delivery of HD video via HD-SDI or HDMI output. Haivision will also introduce the highest-density option for HD encoding — the MB6. This hot-swappable six-slot chassis design holds up to six Makito™ or Barracuda™ encoders in a single 1-7/8-inch rack unit (RU). Haivision will also demonstrate its Makito™ HD video encoder, which now supports component analog and DVI inputs. The encoding system delivers low-latency, full-frame-rate H.264 encoding of HD video up to 1080p60, or computer graphics resolutions up to 1920x1080 60Hz and 1280x1024 75Hz (SXGA). The Makito incorporates HiLo-Streaming™, the ability to encode once and emit both high- and low-bandwidth streams simultaneously, and Multi-Streaming.
