[SatNews] iDirect, a company of Vision Technologies Systems, Inc. (VT Systems), has announced that international telecom services provider TeleYemen has deployed an iDirect 15152 universal hub as well as 200 remotes as part of the initial roll-out phase in Yemen.

This implementation has been done with the support of its local partner in Yemen, SAMtec Co. Ltd. With the deployment, TeleYemen will be first to provide iDirect-based enterprise VSAT services to customers across this growing market. TeleYemen will replace a legacy system with an iDirect-based service. The service, scheduled to launch in May 2014, will use C- and Ku-band to deliver data services, cellular backhaul, voice and video. With this being the first enterprise class service based on the iDirect platform in Yemen, the company anticipates great demand for all such services to markets including oil, enterprise and financial.
