In 2011, Roslesinforg selected Sovzond, DigitalGlobe's Platinum Reseller in Russia, for the supply of satellite imagery to better manage key forestry regions across the Russian Federation. The new contract, signed by Sovzond this month, more than doubles the amount of imagery to be delivered and greatly increases the regions covered to help the agency protect against illegal logging and manage urban development.
