Orange and France Télévisions, will be offering the French Open men's final live and in 3D on cinema screens in France and Spain — the 3D images from the final will be broadcast by satellite from Roland-Garros to the various cinemas by GlobeCast, who will also be delivering the live 3D feed to several other cinemas throughout France.

At 3 pm on June 7, 2009, with the backing of the French Tennis Federation, Orange and France Télévisions, the Tournament’s official partners, will be offering the French Open men's final live and in 3D on cinema screens in France and Spain. Orange and France Télévisions will be capturing the final in 3D thanks to five stereoscopic cameras set up around the Philippe Chatrier court. The 3D images from the final will be broadcast by satellite from Roland-Garros to the various cinemas concerned thanks to GlobeCast, the Orange subsidiary. In France, Orange and France Télévisions will be offering their guests an opportunity to experience all the emotion of this match live and in 3D in a Paris cinema. In Spain, Orange will be organizing showings in four cinemas in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, open to Orange guests and, more widely, the general public. This exceptional event follows on from the 3D TV experiment carried out by Orange and France Télévisions for this year's French Tennis Open from May 31 to June 7, with the backing of the French Tennis Federation. Indeed, Orange and France Télévisions are broadcasting all the matches played on the center court (Philippe Chatrier) throughout the second week of the tournament live and in 3D for everyone to enjoy, all the way through to the final. These matches will be able to be watched on 3D screens at the Roland-Garros site, as well as in five Orange stores in France (Bordeaux, Lille, Nantes, Paris Champs-Élysées, Paris Madeleine).
