Agile Communication Systems... A Plethora Of Configurations (MILSATCOM)

[SatNews] Agile Communication Systems (ACS) exhibited their new advanced DVB-RCS/S2 Satellite Ground Station Terminals (SGST) at MILCOM 2010.

The SGST system is offered in many different configurations; Advanced DVB-RCS/S2, TDMA, and CDMA and spread spectrum topology. The system features a high density modem configuration which allows a greater number of remote terminals to be supported than other HUBs, while at the same time reducing footprint requirements. ACS has selected the Advantech DVB-RCS/S2 HUB system which offers many advanced features such as full redundancy (not just physical stand-by units), S2 Modulation to further reduce bandwidth, Dual frequency receivers, Low power operation, Multiple data rate capabilities on-the-fly — which allows remotes to log-on at a lower data rate to insure healthy link status and then automatically ramp up to the full bandwidth allowed by HUB. The system is ideally suited for Forward Recon Voice, data and FMV, (Full Motion Video). The SGST is custom designed to suit a customer’s specific requirements. Numerous SGST Systems have been installed in-theater by Agile Communication Systems, LLC.
