XTAR... Supporting Those Who Served The Nation...

[SatNews] XTAR, LLC, has initiated a community service campaign to support wounded soldiers during their recovery and return to civilian life.

XTAR has selected to support Operation First Response (OFR) for the critical support it provides to wounded warriors from all branches of the U.S. armed services. OFR links businesses such as XTAR with families in need as a means of giving back to warfighters and demonstrating appreciation for their courage in protecting the U.S. Through OFR, XTAR employees and their families will adopt several heroes and their families and donate holiday gifts and personal morale-related items to help create a joy-filled holiday. In the coming months, XTAR will work with OFR on their special backpack program, preparing backpacks for wounded combat soldiers who lack personal items when they arrive at hospitals in Afghanistan and Iraq.  XTAR plans to reach out to its network of customers and partners to send backpacks to the region in 2012.

XTAR is adopting community-oriented activities such as OFR as part of its ten year anniversary and to demonstrate how much the team values its relationship with the U.S. military. As the first commercial provider of services in the X-band frequency, XTAR is exclusively dedicated to serving the long-haul communications needs of U.S. and Allied military and government organizations. Its two owned and operated payloads provide 4 GB of X-band capacity from Denver east to Singapore. XTAR is committed to the success of all its customers based on providing a highly responsive commercial and operational experience designed to meet or exceed the unique mission requirements of governments around the world. Operation First Response, Inc. (OFR), serves all branches of our nation's Wounded Warriors and their families with personal and financial needs. Services are provided as rapidly as possible from the onset of injury or illness, throughout their recovery period and along their journey from military life to the civilian world.
