[SatNews] NewCom International has deployed an iDirect Evolution platform over NSS 10 C‐band and T‐11n KU‐band throughout Africa.

With the launch of the new Evolution‐based service from iDirect, NewCom ― which deployed the Evolution hub in Latin America last year ― now offers complete service coverage across Africa and Latin America, ensuring customers on both continents receive optimized bandwidth performance at the most competitive rates possible. Built on the next‐generation DVB‐S2 transmission standard with Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM), NewCom’s Evolution network allows customers to better utilize network bandwidth resources and realize immediate efficiency gains, while safeguarding against outages due to bad weather. While the Evolution platform for Latin America is managed from NewCom’s Miami teleport facility, the Evolution hub for Africa is being managed by NewCom from its teleport facilities in Miami and the U.K. NewCom will be using the newest platform to deliver its comprehensive suite of VoIP, video and data services throughout Africa.
